Resolutions
No one will ever get out of this world alive.
Resolve therefore to maintain a sense of values.
Take care of yourself. Good health is everyone’s major source of wealth. Without it, happiness is almost impossible.
Resolve to be cheerful and helpful. People will repay you in kind.
Avoid angry, abrasive persons. They are generally vengeful.
Avoid zealots. They are generally humorless.
Resolve to listen more and talk less. No one ever learns anything by talking.
Be chary of giving advice. Wise men don’t need it and fools won’t heed it.
Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, tolerant of the weak and the wrong. Sometime in life you will have been all of these.
Do not equate money with success. There are many successful money-makers who are miserable failures as human beings. What counts most about success is how a man achieves it.

Russian Kids vs. American Kids
This is an email that I received, it's funny how true this is. All the Russians/Ukrainians know what I mean.
American kids: Move out when they're 18 with the full support of their parents.
Russian kids: Move out when they're 28, having saved enough money for a house, and are two weeks away from getting married.....unless there's room in the basement for the newlyweds.
American kids: When their Mom visits them, she brings a Bunt cake, and you sip coffee and chat.
Russian kids: When their Mom visits them, she brings 3 days worth of food, begins to tidy up, dust, do the laundry, and rearrange the furniture.
American kids: Their dads always call before they come over to visit them, and it's usually only on special occasions.
Russian kids: Are not at all fazed when their dads show up, unannounced, on a Saturday morning at 8:00, and starts pruning the fruit trees. If there are no fruit trees, he'll plant some.
American kids: Always pay retail, and look in the Yellow Pages when they need to have something done.
Russian kids: Call their dad or uncle, and ask for another dad's or uncle's phone number to get it done.
American kids: Will come over for cake and coffee, and get only cake and coffee. No more.
Russian kids: Will come over for cake and coffee, and get Borsht, vodka, a salat olivye', a choice of two meats, salad, bread, a dish of babushkas desert, fruit, and a few after dinner drinks.
American kids: Will greet you with 'Hello' or 'Hi'.
Russian kids: Will give you a big hug, a kiss on your, and a pat on your back.
American kids: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
Russian kids:: Call your parents Mom and Dad.
American kids: Have never seen you cry.
Russian kids: Cry with you.
American kids: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
Russian kids: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing, and just being together.
American kids: Know few things about you.
Russian kids: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.
American kids: Eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on soft mushy white bread.
Russian kids: Eat selotka and kartoshka with bread on the side. (potato
and fish)
American kids: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing
Russian kids: Will kick the whole crowds' ass who left you behind.
American kids:: Are for a while.
Russian kids: Are for life.
American kids: Like Rod Stewart, and Steve Tyrell.
Russian kids: Worship Dima Bilan, Sogdiana and Timoti
American kids: Think that being Russian is cool.
Russian kids: Know that being Russian is cool.
American kids: Will ignore this.
Russian kids: Will forward it.

Quote #7
If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator. If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist. If out greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist. But since our greatest need was forgiveness, God sent us a Savior. ~ Roy Lessin

Yesterday is history, tomorrow's a mystery, today is a gift, that's why it's called the present.
